RoPax Blue Star Patmos RoPax Blue Star Patmos

Attica Group - Blue Star Ferries
Short Description

Blue Star Patmos was designed almost parallel to Blue Star Delos, with a small time-distance of a few months. The sister ships share the same technical characteristics, but have a different layout arrangement, since the company wanted the new vessel to serve more remote destinations than BS Delos.

We designed BS Patmos together with the Newbuildings & Development division of Attica Group, and primarily with Executive Management Advisor of the division, Mr. Costis Stamboulelis, a dear friend and colleague. The ship was built in Daewoo (DSME) Shipyard, in Okpo, Korea, just like BS Delos. The design process was much easier and more fun, because many construction and architectural issues were already resolved from the previous vessel. From the very first surveys it was evident that there was a very fast understanding of our designs by the shipyard engineers.

One year after she began her travels, in 2013, BS Patmos received two awards: one concerned the overall design by the executives of Attica Group, and the other our interior design.
